Well, it’s the chance to apply your superb sales skills and turn the leads that they provide you into orders. What is really thrilling is that the leads are from customers who have already expressed an interest in their products and the majority convert. There’s no hard sell and absolutely no cold calling!!
What does the role involve?
Our client produces a superb range of; Loose Covers, Curtains and Re-upholstery products. Your role is to visit customers in their own home and find a solution that fits their requirement. It’s a combination of sales and some technical skills, such as measuring and fitting. You will be assigned your own sales area and they send you all leads generated within that area. Your diary is your own. They do not tell you when to see Mrs Smith but they do ask that you don’t keep Mrs Smith waiting too long. After all, in sales, the early bird catches the worm and you need to be that early bird!
What do I need?
Bags of people skills, is the first item on the list. Some patience, whilst your customer “umms” and “ahhhs”, deciding which of their outstanding fabrics would suit their room the best. Inspiration also comes in handy to help your customer select those must-have accessories and gain you those extra sales.
You will also need an Apple ipad, to use their brilliant App and calculate the price of each order. Just in case you need a bit of assistance, a mobile phone to give us a call. Public liability insurance is essential in providing peace of mind to you and the customer whilst in the customer’s home. Your own transportation – a must for visiting all of those enthusiastic customers awaiting your visit!
Is there any training?
Absolutely! Their Training Team will provide you with all the training you need to be a successful Home Sales Consultant.
What do I get paid?
All of their Home Sales Consultants are self-employed. This provides you with the best of both worlds, as you gain the backing of a well-established company, with all of the flexibility that being self-employed brings. Being assigned your own sales area means there is a regular flow of work. You will get paid excellent commission rates on what you sell (no basic salary) and they also pay bonuses for super-dooper achievements.
