The UK subsidiary of a well known Worldwide Investment Manager with a traditional focus on Japanese and Asian Equity products is looking for a new Head Of Business Development and Client Relations to join their London based team.

Client Details

Head of Business Development - Investment Management

Based in the city of London, the client is a UK subsidiary of a global active investment manager, covering a wide range of asset classes including equities, fixed incomes and alternatives. Their tradition focus is on Japanese and Asian Equity products.

The Organisation has offices worldwide and manage assets on behalf of financial institutions, pension funds, government agencies and retail investors.

The UK based Subsidiary itself is a relatively small office with around 20 - 25 members of staff.

Description

Head of Business Development - Investment Management

Primary responsibility:

To Manage the Business Development and Client Relations business.

Principal duties

  • Overall management of the two sections of the Sales and Client Services Department (Business Development team and Client Services & Communication team).
  • Man management of 6 members of staff.
  • Development of new business from prospective and existing clients within Europe
  • Effective Client Management
  • Managing internal relationships with other group companies and internal stakeholders
  • Development and implementation of strategy for the UK sales and marketing efforts

Profile

Head of Business Development - Investment Management

Skills and Expertise:

  • Strong business development experience within the asset management industry.
  • Broad and deep understanding of fund business in Europe, (particularly UCITS fund) as well as the segregated account marketing.
  • Strong man-management experience
  • Superior capability of managing client services and communication activities.
  • Japanese fluency is preferable.
  • Team player and co-operative.
  • Self-starter who is proactive and takes ownership of workload and a stand-alone role.

Job Offer

A basic Salary of £100,000 - £120,000 (dependant upon experience) plus Bonus and company benefits
