A successful publishing house and content marketing agency. producing high-quality special reports for publications such as The Times and The Sunday Times, as well as content marketing solutions for brands and bespoke market research.

This is a full-time role paying £30,000 basic salary rising to £50,000 with commission and located right by Covent Garden station.

Key Responsibilites

You will have responsibility for the entire project lifecycle, from idea conception to the finished product. Responsibilities include managing research, editorial commissioning, production and sales on each of these five publications being produced.

You will be expected to develop your own leads pipeline and set up calls and meetings to pitch high-level Directors across all sectors of industry, as well as working with some of the UK`s leading journalists and editors.

This is an extremely demanding role in a high pressured business environment, with a lot of emphasis placed on sales and business development activities.

Day-to-day activities will include:

This slightly depends on what stage of your project you are in.

The first couple of weeks on a report are heavy on research and business development – you’ll need to be comfortable calling people about your report and going to meetings with senior decision makers. In the second half of the project this continues, but you also have to project manage the production of the report, liaising with journalists, designers and advertisers to ensure the project keeps to timelines and is of sufficient quality.

One thing we can guarantee is that every day is different, and interesting.

Key candidate requirements for the role:

* Minimum of 2 years’ sales and business development experience (B2B)

* Track record in working with revenue targets

* Self-motivated and able to work independently

* Superb communication skills in spoken and written English

* A demonstrable and sustainable high level of energy and enthusiasm

* Clear entrepreneurial flair and passion for doing business

* Able to work and perform in a high pressured environment

* Happy to work as part of a growing business

* Interest in current affairs/business/publishing

* Strong academic background; a Bachelor degree minimum from Top 30 university (Business/Management/Economics preferable)

* Good organisational skills

* Excellent research abilities
