Job Title: Graduate Commercial Executive – 3D Design / CAD experience

Location: Midlands or South East Based

Package: c.£35,000 + 25% Bonus + Fully Expensed Company Car + Package

Ellis Furniture have been manufacturing high quality furniture since 1891, we remain passionate about our products and our customers, with a reputation second to none. Our philosophy is to design and manufacture furniture to exacting standards, using carefully selected raw materials and the result is high quality, modern furniture, made by people who care, built for a long lifespan, and offering the very best value for money.

The contract side of our business supplies the public sector and private businesses including hotels and leisureeducation, universities, healthcare, care homes and the MOD. Long gone are the days of “just” supplying our customers with furniture, our approach now is much more complex and more of a “total room solution” sale consulting with a myriad of connections within a cross section of customers.

We are taking a different approach to recruitment for this role and we’re ideally looking for a graduate with a Creative or Design degree with exposure to the commercial world – sales, account management or be looking to make that move in your career. If that experience is in furniture then fantastic but equally we recognise skill sets from aligned industries such as kitchen or bathroom sales (KBB), construction, or more classic B2B sales and even FMCG are just as applicable with the right personality and mindset. Experience of 3D Design and/or CAD/CAM is very desirable, as you will see the product through a design-led view and understand the nuances involved. With a keen eye or flair/interest in design and an understanding of “the living environment” would be very useful although not essential.

Both sales and design focused, we know we are looking for a unique character for this position, someone who possesses a blend of sales ability and design understanding, but we are dedicated to providing support and development to the right individual. You will work on all major projects and sales opportunities on the area, gaining invaluable experience of sales and account management, and also be expected to be increasingly hands-on in surveying bedrooms and kitchens in new builds and existing sites. This is where your design experience will prove invaluable in advising clients on the best use of space and on recent innovations. A fundamental element of the role is to strengthen and deepen the relationships with our customers, building a network of purchasers and influencers across the accounts – so you won’t be a shy, retiring violet!! The ability to understand the technical element of design and installation will be invaluable. You will also have weekly contact with the Sales & Marketing Director and the support team in Head Office in Huddersfield.
