The package: Starting Salary £25,000 (rising to £27,500 after selling £500k and £30k after selling £1million in sales. Year 1 OTE £40,000 Uncapped Year 2 £50,000 Uncapped Plus, Company Car Options Laptop, and Mobile Phone.
This family owned and run business operates out of two offices and this is a field based role covering Kent, E and W. Sussex, Brighton and Hove and the SE Boroughs of London.
Their head office is based near to Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. They are a creative and fun place to work. Their success has meant that they are expanding and so now need to grow their sales team. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Field Sales Representative to join them - the UK's premier experts in educationally designed, playground solutions. You'll use your imagination to creatively translate customers' ideas into a playground environment.
As a Field Sales Representative, you'll be selling playground equipment to primary schools across the South of England you will: attend school meetings (70% enquiries 30% self-generated;) you will develop new and existing business, whilst using a consultative approach, which understands primary education and its needs. The job requires a lot of creative thinking and initiative to spot new opportunities and establish rapid rapport with their clients.
Working with the marketing, design and operations team, you will ensure each school playground development is completed successfully, as well as create proposals, including site surveys, scale plans and quotations. What's more, if you show a genuine love of education, you'll love selling your designs to their customers and you'll receive excellent commission!
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years' experience in teaching in a Primary school or at least 2 years selling to Primary schools. Knowledge of local authority preferred supplier lists and works would also be beneficial. A keen interest in primary education, sport, music, dance and creative arts would be desirable. Experience in filling out and completing PQQ's and tenders would be an advantage.
You will need to attend industry events and head teacher conferences and provide feedback on market and creative trends.
You will be expected to track and record activity on your customer and to close deals to meet your targets. You will need to prepare and present progress reports to the Directors.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:
- At least one years' experience of teaching in Primary Education OR 2 years of selling to the Primary Education Sector
- A degree or equivalent qualification
- A full driving licence
- A good working knowledge of windows 10 and other modern IT packages.
Training and development:
They understand how important this is and have an intensive 3 month, tried and tested induction program. This will help the right candidate to hit the ground running and be successful.
