Field Sales Executive - North of England

Our client is a major player in the Seed and Garden sundries market. Having been around for over 200 years they are one of the most established and respected companies in the UK.

The role definition
Main duties of the role are
Joining the existing team, the Sales Executive will be calling on Independent Garden Centres and some independent hardware/gardening outlets. The area to be covered is established and the successful candidate will be expected to forge strong and mutually beneficial working relationships with existing customers along with the generation of new business, whilst maintaining the company’s reputation for quality, customer service and innovation. You should be proactive in your approach and have demonstrable experience in a similar role.

Role Requirements
Proactively call on existing and prospective customers to maximise all sales opportunities to assist with the achievement of monthly and annual targets
Creative selling, business development, stock management and new account development are key parts of the role which is in an established and high volume area
Ideally the successful candidate would have Garden Centre selling experience
Good IT skills are required as the successful candidate will have to use technology on a daily basis
Demonstrable experience at building both internal and external relationships is required

Key Skills
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following attributes and experience to be suitable for the role
Experience of FMCG Sales and Sales Techniques
Ability to demonstrate a good track record
Self motivated and able to work with minimal support
Experience of consistently achieving KPIs and sales/income targets
Strong customer service skills
Excellent telephone manner
Ability to demonstrate ambition to succeed and further your career in the short to medium term

Key Objectives:
