SALARY: £35,000- £50,000 basic / £45,000- £60,000 OTE

JOB SPECIFICATION - Senior Field Sales Engineer - Electrical, Electronic Components to OEMs
This challenging and varied Senior Field Sales Engineer- Electrical / Electronic Components to OEMs role involves developing a well- established customer base and developing new business promoting and selling an extensive range of electrical and electronic components, systems and added value solutions to range of general industrial, process control automation and packaging machinery OEMs, including food, pharmaceutical direct and via major distributors. The main focus will be on selling technical solutions to OEMs, getting specified in, solving problems and adding value. Whilst sales go through distributors this will be a secondary part of the role. Though there is existing business, there is huge potential for growth in these markets driven by my client’s new product innovation and technological advances at the OEM customers, especially in terms of electrical and especially electronic circuit protection.
REQUIREMENTS - Senior Field Sales Engineer - Electrical, Electronic Components to OEMs
Ideally you will have a proven track record of success selling electrical or electronic components to general industrial, process or packaging machinery OEMs or end users in the food, beverage or pharmaceutical industries and via distributors. You could be selling the capital equipment itself, but you will need a good knowledge of industrial automation, machine safety and/or process control and be able to pick up the technicalities of circuit breakers and their potential applications and benefits to the customer which centres around reducing production downtime.
OR You could be a graduate in electrical or electronics engineering with some sort of (probably 6 months to 2-3 years) technical sales (preferably field sales or internal with some face to face) experience, ready for the next step in your career moving to a fully-fledged technical field sales role with a worldwide manufacturer
