An opportunity has now arisen for an External Sales Engineer to join the North of England Sales team of a Pan-European Pump distributor which would suit a driven candidate with an outgoing personality and proven pump or rotating equipment sales experience.
Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, this position is part of a team that is responsible for the sale of pumps and pump service to a wide range of customers in Chemical, Food & Beverage, Personal care and general industrial sectors.
This position is a mixture of managing existing accounts and growth within new and identified prospects.
You will ideally be located in the North Yorkshire to Northumberland region.
As the first point of contact for our customer base you will be expected to offer local technical support, backed up by our internal sales engineering team. Full product training for the role will consist of in-house and overseas travel to our represented manufacturers.
With the wide product portfolio, an analytical approach to sales potential is essential. You will be expected to assess the level of possible business within existing customers and prospects and manage your day to day activities to target the highest long term profitable business potential.
The ability and desire to learn new technology and industrial applications is a pre-requisite for this role. You will be bright and confident and should have a high level of computer literacy, especially in MS Word and Excel.
As the position includes daily travel, a current full driving licence would be essential.

The package consists of: Basic salary + commission, Pension scheme, Company car or car allowance, Laptop, Mobile Phone, target related bonuses and annual profit related company bonus.
