Customised solutions, product modification and new designs are a key strength of the organisation currently looking to recruit a Director of Sales to lead the EMEA region and a mix of distribution and sales channels.
The Director of Sales EMEA leads and manages the Gems sales organisation in EMEA and India with a mix of direct and distribution sales channels. The role will report to the Site Leader & Director of Finance EMEA and works closely with Regional Sales Managers across EMEA and India. Success will be measured relative to exceeding sales forecasts, improving profit margins, growing the sales funnel, expanding into new strategic markets and helping to drive key company initiatives.
This role requires an approach that will grow the sales pipeline to include new strategic market expansion with improved profit margins and an approach to solution sales ready to be tailored to multiple applications in many sectors.

To meet or exceed sales forecasts for the region (EMEA and India) while ensuring appropriate profit margins are maintained. Profitably develop and grow Gems business with existing customers while continually cultivating new channels, markets, and customers for our products.
Develops sales and value selling strategy, pricing, and sales compensation plans.
Directs activities of inside sales organization
Drives team sales activities while maintaining a high level of involvement throughout the region at Channel Partners and key OEM/End Users that are critical to Gems sales growth.
Works closely with the marketing function on regional and strategic marketing plans to drive brand recognition & image including participation in industry tradeshows & conferences, interaction with regulatory bodies, transformation marketing programs etc.
Works together with other members of the senior leadership team in development of Gems strategic plan, and other key initiatives.
QUALIFICATION AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business required.
Extensive B2B sales experience and a proven track record of year-over-year sales growth via direct sales, Distributors/Agents, OEMs, etc.
Experience selling “technical industrial” products, with a preference for instrumentation sales across multiple verticals.
Proven experience managing and developing inside and outside sales teams.
Proven ability to develop and drive business strategy and to develop business plans to increase market share at strategic accounts.
Proven ability to drive sales growth and deliver results with a process-oriented, data-driven and continuous improvement approach.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt and articulate Gems value proposition to a wide variety of decision makers.
Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 70%.
