Client Details

My client are a leading telecommunications business with offices across the globe. They are looking to add a Desk Based Account Manager to their growing team to proactively manage their own base of existing customers through upsell, cross sell and retention activity in order to achieve sales, revenue and KPI targets. Based from Manchester this is an opportunity to further develop your career.

Description

As a Desk Based Account Manager your will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure all Points and revenue targets are achieved on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Ensure KPI's are achieved (minimum activity levels etc)
  • Manage accounts effectively and proactively
  • Accurately & consistently forecast and commit opportunity pipeline to the management team
  • Input and manage new sales opportunities onto CRM system
  • Forge strong relationships within account base via regular customer communication
  • Internal project management/order tracking of allocated account base orders through the business to ensure efficient Revenue delivery.
  • Promote NPS to account base and actively seek feedback from customers with a view to improving NPS Score
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure the customer is at the heart of everything we do
  • Take ownership and accountability of everything within your control
  • Act as a point of escalation and contact for your accounts in the event of non selling related issues e.g. faults, billing etc

Profile

The successful Desk Based Account Manager will be required to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Must have an ability to develop relationships internally with other teams and externally with customers

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Takes ownership of own learning and personal development
  • Embraces change and seeks out the opportunities presented therein
  • Must be self motivated
  • Proven ability to work under pressure to achieve stretching targets
  • The ideal candidate will have previous B2B Account Management experience
  • Able to work within a team based environment, using your own initiative where appropriate
  • Good telephone manner and presentable, professional demeanour
  • Computer literacy encompassing all Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience of CRM systems, with the ability to analyse and interpret data
