Parker Young has been engaged by a fantastic consumer services business to identify a board level Commercial Director position.
Our client is a unique, rapidly growing business who operate in the online performance market sector, generating customers through affiliate and customer generation service provision. They use bespoke digital advertising and customer generation methods to provide their partners with engaged customers who are primed and ready to purchase products and services across a number of business sectors including insurance, claims, travel and financial services both in the UK and overseas.
As Commercial Director, you will take control of all commercial activity with partners new and existing. Simply put, the position is split into two – managing partners and finding and building new ones.
The organisation has an impressive portfolio of existing partners, businesses of multiple size and scope with incredibly close relationships built on trust and delivery. They share the risk with all their partners and constantly work together to maximise the commercial relationships.
With a serious appetite to grow, combined with a knowledge of how they can grow, the business now needs to build a wider pool of partners to achieve their vision. A proven senior sales expert is therefore required to open-up the right doors and build our partner network.
Our client needs someone who will bring new thinking to their senior team and who is focused on delivery. You need to be flexible so you won’t snap and strong enough not to be knocked back by objections or challenges. Bravery is key as we want to try new approaches and doing all of this will a high degree of ethics and integrity is vital.
You will ideally have a good understanding of digital channels and customer generation methods. Have implanted and used CRM and marketing automation technology. A brain to assess conversion funnels and data blended with a fun and outgoing personality that will engage people internally and externally. Creative in your ideas with project management skills and ability to listen, learn and work with others.
