As a Business Development Manager - Software/Services you will be tasked with be tasked with generating new business for the company. You will also be responsible for the complete life-cycle of the deal- profiling, qualification, pitching, proposing, nurturing, negotiating and closing.

Our client is a Value Added Re-seller (VAR) focused primarily on branded technology. For 20+ years, They have been selling branded software & hardware solutions as well as their own consultancy, development and support services to put them in a position of being one of the leading Partners in the UK. Our client is a stable, privately owned company based in Leeds and need new Business Development Manager - Software/Services to lead the business to further growth.

Description

As a Business Development Manager - Software/Services:

  • You will be tasked with identifying opportunities within some existing customers to sell Branded software (on premise and Cloud), hardware and their associated services (development, technical consultancy and support contracts).
  • The majority of the business that you generate will be via new business so you won't be afraid to pick up the phone and qualify opportunities within "cold" companies.
  • Responsible for the complete life-cycle of the sale - profiling, qualification, pitching, proposing, nurturing, negotiating and closing.
  • You will have quarterly targets to achieve and will be given 3 months to get up to speed with the role and build a sustainable pipeline for continued success.
  • You will liaise with Vendor sales representatives and work on campaigns in partnership and build rapport with your contacts. You will also work closely with the direct line manager on new business campaigns to develop new business opportunities and pipeline.

Profile

  • At least 12 months B2B sales experience in the IT industry (software licenses, cloud/hosting, consultancy/support services, hardware)
  • Proven to be successful in the role and can demonstrate this via target to earnings
  • Strong sales acumen, with a defined process to sell successfully
  • Articulate - both orally and in written communication
  • Decisive, focused and resilient in nature
  • You will have a career plan and aspirations to achieve
  • Proactive pipeline stage management.
  • Understands the importance of forecasting and is used to reporting on deal progress and pipeline stages

Job Offer

Business Development Manager - Software/Services:

  • Negotiable for the right candidate (circa £28k salary), private health and pension scheme (after 3 months of service) and £15K per year commission + accelerator (uncapped)
  • Commission is paid quarterly in arrears. Accelerator example: Achieve 120% of target and earn 140% of commission.
  • Laptop and Linkedin Premium package provided
