Business Development Manager, Software, £35,000 Basic, £70,000 OTE (totally uncapped) plus additional benefits. This terrific career opportunity is ideal for a proven business to business software sales professional who is commercially creative and looking for a varied and all-encompassing sales role. The role will logically progress into Sales Management and the opportunity to become a Sales Director within three years.

The opportunity to earn commission is great, easy to understand, uncapped and, on the back of securing one corporate and three SME deals per month your earnings will exceed £70K+ in Year One.

The company are a South West based, twelve year old international software house with tens of household names as clients including banks, leisure, public sector, contact centres and retailers. The sale is a combination of SaaS/cloud software and selling associated services.

New business leads are generated through Adwords, exhibitions, inbound enquiries, referrals and recommendations and you will inherit a pipeline of over 500 businesses that have made enquiries in the last three years. Ultimately, it's all about understanding the prospect's needs, demonstrating the product, and selling the solution which is top featured and keenly priced against competitors.

  • You must have business to business software sales experience - ideally two yearsplus with face-to-face sales experience.

  • Have the confidence to reach out to prospects and present well.
  • Be creative enough to plan and develop your own strategy.
  • You will be an articulate and likeable personality who can quickly engage potential target customers
  • You will be an able presenter who has a consultative style that helps to guide target customers along the path to a successful close
  • You will be naturally persuasive and a great 'fact-finder' but not 'pushy' in approach.
