Business development Manager - Security Services - East London, London

Salary up to £35,000 depending on contacts and experience (OTE £45,000 plus)

The Company:

Our client’s security business was set up in 2014 to provide vacant property services, empty property security and construction site security , nationwide and at short notice.
They are a leading provider of security and safety solutions to public, private and voluntary sector organisations in the UK. They produce custom services suited to their clients’ needs ranging from specialised safety officers and technology solutions to consulting and investigations.

The Role:

The successful Business Development Manager (Security Services) will be experienced in selling security services, have a successful track record and have contacts within the industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a target driven business development professional with previous experience and proven success within the Security Manned Guarding sector.
The position suits a highly motivated and diligent individual looking to establish a winning reputation within a highly successful and prestigious company.
The role is based in Central London but will require UK wide contracts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new leads, developing client relationships and the subsequent preparation and delivery of both pre-qualification and tender documents.
You will be responsible for meeting agreed sales targets, exploring opportunities for new business in defined market sectors and negotiating contracts on behalf of the Company with maximising margins.
You will identify and explore opportunities in existing business through introductions from existing Regional / Divisional Management and re-tender activity for existing business as required including preparation of tender documentation in conjunction with operational team.
The successful candidate will liaise with the operations team in the co-ordination of contract bids including specification development and pricing.
The role is based in London but will require travel as required, and involvement in the relationship with the client from start to finish.

Requirements for Business Development Manager :

Significant experience of new business development within Security Manned Guarding Sector.
Experience of developing cost proposals and writing tender documents.
Experience of presenting at tender presentations.
Proven track record of selling and achieving a sales target
Thorough understanding of the bid, tender and decision making process
Strong financial and commercial acumen
Thorough understanding of current TUPE legislation. An understanding of contract
legislation would also be an advantage.
Strong customer ethos demonstrated through communication and behaviours.
Creative and innovative and able to articulate this to clients and colleagues.
Able to challenge and be challenged with credibility.
Operates with high levels of integrity.
Is confident, resilient and self-motivated.
Has a collaborative style of working.
Team Player.
