Selling services business to business, you will take full responsibility over your entire pipeline. My client is an exciting and successful start-up in the transport industry. They are Europe's leading comparison site for transport and logistics services. In March, my client launched a new service/software, providing removal professionals with an efficient method of carrying out remote surveys through live video surveying.

Description

The Business Development Manager - Logistics start up's responsibilities include:

  • Covering London, full responsibility over your entire pipeline which we constitute of top tier and high value (deals can take up to 3-6 months to close).
  • Implementation of long term transformative programmes.
  • Developing partnerships with a strong focus on long term relationship development and positive brand association.
  • Achieve or exceed agreed sales targets, putting in place suitable action plans.
  • You will be 65% office based and visiting your clients 35% of your time.

  • Maintaining a solid pipeline, updating CRM systems and reporting weekly.

Profile

The successful Business Development Manager - Logistics start up will have the following:

  • 2 - 5 years consultative and face to face (preferred) customer sales experience.
  • Knowledge of the removals and/or relocation industry (preferred).
  • Proven track record of regularly achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Amazing communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
  • Good telephone manner.
  • Self-motivated, organised with the ability to prioritise work effectively.
  • Account Management experience.
  • Contract negotiation skills with ability to upsell and cross-sell.
  • Driven to succeed with an entrepreneurial flair.
  • Driving license (preferred).
