The Role: As a Business Development Manager, based in the Scotland you will be responsible for generating targeted sales within defined markets of the public sector whilst identifying new business opportunities and responding to industry trends and customer needs. There is significant importance in developing successful partnerships and customer relationships to build the company's position and involvement across the sector.
You must be willing to travel across the UK to achieve results in this role, however the majority of your work will be conducted in central belt Scotland and North East areas of the UK. An individual with the ability to access the regional office in Edinburgh once a week is desired.
The Person: The ideal candidate will have a background in selling to the public sector, or be used to selling within longer sales cycles. Proven capacity to sell solutions and to achieve tangible results, together with an entrepreneurial and innovative approach will be welcomed.
Personal attributes including professionalism, personal accountability and focus are a must.
