My client is a worldwide leading supplier of pneumatic and electrical automation technology and they are looking for an Electric Business Development Manager who will work from home in and around the M4 Corridor or M62 Corridor.

The Business Development Manager : Electric Drives / Electric Automation (eBDM), is responsible for the business and market development of the Electrical Automation Business Unit in the GB
The eBDM must
have GB business experience in the field of industrial technology and engineering
be result driven with strong business acumen
have a clear market orientation with proven track record of delivering results
be entrepreneurial, innovative, outgoing, with a positive and collaborative attitude
possess excellent networking and relationship building skills
have a management and personal behaviour style based on empowerment, inclusiveness and intercultural understanding
Summary of job contents
The eBDM :
Participate in the development and implementation of the GB Business plan and commercial strategy, for the Electrical Automation business unit
Monthly and annual KPI reporting of business plan progress for the assigned portfolio of accounts
Target management and break down of electrical automation business potential delivered to PMM
Identification of major accounts and business areas for profitable continuous volume business
Continuous commercial and technical development of the sales organisation in the area of electrical automation, in close collaboration with regional / country management.
The eBDM proactively supports the
Planning of activities towards sales, and other relevant stakeholders, to drive the electrical automation business at strategic, tactical and operational level
Introduction of new electrical automation products, services and concepts trough facilitation of close collaboration and synchronisation of regional and local MAP / MLP
Identification of commercial and technical needs for future electrical automation products, services and concepts
Solving of daily ad-hoc obstacles and needs of the electrical automation business
Identification of acquisition prospects and strategic partnerships, to further fuel the development of the electrical automation business area
Development of local GFIS / IS strategy for electrical automation
Local development of Selected Key Accounts (SKA) in the area of electrical automation
Technical University Degree (electrical, mechatronics, mechanical or industrial engineer)
High Level user of MS Excel and PowerPoint, MS word user.
Good/ high level knowledge of industrial automation software, technologies and standards including PLC programming, Interface technologies/OPC, SCADA, MES, networks and more.
Extensive experience in the electric/software industrial automation industry
Extensive experience in sales and business development
Proven record of successful delivery of above average growth
Delivering results in a matrix or project organisation
