Business Development Manager, Aviation, £40,000 Basic, £60,000 OTE + Car + benefits. This is a highly conceptual solution sales role within a major global provider of aircraft parts that sells into the civil aviation and defence sectors. The role is ideal for a graduate calibre sales professional with brilliant communication skills, commercial flair and an ability to sell complex solutions to senior levels.

With experience of the aerospace industry - either Civil, defence or both - you will be a new business oriented individual that is comfortable with conceptual sales as the profit is largely in the support packages around the components rather than in the components themselves - maintenance packages, leasing packages, etc. The role is also selling components to tier one, two and three suppliers within the aerospace sector.

The role requires an outstanding sales professional with aviation, aerospace or defence sales experience and your natural sales enthusiasm and desire to 'make it happen' is the most important requirement.

As a person, you will be down to earth, credible, outgoing, honest, enthusiastic, hardworking, a team player and competitive. You will be healthily assertive but not a 'fiery character' and be a self managing, self starter - the kind of person with the attitude of 'working for yourself' within an established business. Previous successful applicants have excelled in competitive team sports and a European language, whilst not required, could provide an advantage.

The team in the UK is close-knit and competitive and is looking for exceptional individuals that are looking for a 5 year plus role and have a burning desire to be the best. You must be a stable character that is energetic, proactive and able to work autonomously. You will be a first-rate communicator that likes to be busy and proactively works to 'get the deals done'.
