As a Business Development Manager you will selling lubricants into food manufacturing industries. You will be tasked to manage key accounts but to also grow existing accounts.

Description

  • Working with key accounts and developing new contacts
  • Advising and promoting the products mainly into the food manufacturing space
  • Reviewing, analysing and understanding new business opportunities and then planning, prioritising and implementing accordingly.
  • Increasing market share and sales through building and maintaining strong working relationships in the production, technical and purchasing functions of prospective clients. This could involve managing product trials at customer's sites, whilst liaising closely with central technical function team
  • Ability to project manage complex business opportunities, involving multi-site operations, with the capability to write, deliver and present sales proposals.
  • Maintaining a high level of technical knowledge in respect to key products and processes.
  • Working with Product Management, Marketing and R&D to develop product & service offering in line with market requirements.

Profile

  • A previous tract record of selling lubricants into food manufacturer businesses would be advantageous
  • Ideally you would have sold lubricants for a manufacturer or on behalf of a distributor

  • You will be self-motivated and driven with high levels of tenacity and will be committed to delivering outstanding levels of customer service as a team member
  • Able to demonstrate how they have achieved profitable sales growth through selling high-quality technical solutions.
  • Ideally, you will have experience in selling either high value lubricants or similar products. Experience and knowledge of markets like food, rail, cement or chemical would be advantage but not a necessity.

  • The role demands excellent organisational and time management skills.
