We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager for a 100% new business field based role covering the Midlands region and surrounding areas.

This is a 100% new business role, field based covering the Midlands and surrounding areas.

To drive new business across a specific territory in the UK and manage, identify and research new business opportunities, understand customer needs and actively engage and promote the products and solutions to external customers and prospects whilst maintaining strong relationships with the internal support teams.

The UK Business Development Manager's core responsibility is to sell solutions, identify white space in our regional core sectors and ultimately drive revenue growth through high levels of new business activity.

This role will involve B2B new business sales vising clients face to face, qualifying customers.

This is a fast paced role with quick sales cycles where you will be working on multiple opportunities simultaneously.


We are looking for a professional well-presented articulate bright sales professional. You must possess excellent questioning skills, be highly motivated and organised.

We are looking for a natural personable sales person.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

New Business

  • To support and effectively follow up on any specific sales campaigns
  • To ensure personal lead management is effective and reaches an optimum conversion rate
  • To drive and coordinate the development of a new business pipeline and to ensure the pipeline is managed successfully at the target conversion rate
  • To be able to accurately forecast sales performance on a weekly/monthly basis
  • To demonstrate high performing prospecting skills
  • To understand market dynamics in all relevant sector
  • To present services and solutions at management level

Systems and Reporting

  • Keep accurate and comprehensive records of all contact with customers in
  • To produce monthly business update reports for the Team Leader
  • To provide forecasting reports when required

Key Dimensions

  • To meet and exceed all required targets of visits and calls
  • To meet and exceed new business targets
  • To increase the average order value
  • To decrease the conversion time
  • To ensure all leads are managed correctly and the conversion is more than 40%
