Business Development Manager - Aerospace
Global organisation who are specialists in lean supply chain management solutions for C-class components, indirect materials and a variety of aircraft platform specific parts.

Client Details

Leading supplier of supply chain solutions of C-class components in to the Aerospace and Defence sector. Renowned for their knowledge and service levels within the industry! With ambitious growth plans over the next few years, they are looking for key individuals that can be part of that journey and contribute to future successes. There are great opportunities for a Business Development Manager to progress both nationally and internationally therefore, proposing an attractive opportunity for the right individuals!


The primary responsibility for the Business Development Manager is to identify new opportunities across the relevant region whilst managing and developing existing relationships. Further responsibilities include:-

  • Identifying new sales leads and working collaboratively with the internal sales teams to manage relationships effectively.
  • Meeting with clients regularly to get an understanding of current and future requirements to pipeline accordingly.
  • Managing quotes and writing reports to feedback effectively to senior management to identify opportunities and threats for the wider business.
  • Keeping abreast of competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge!
  • Planning and working on new marketing initiatives, attending conferences, meetings and industry events.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations to multiple stakeholders with a view to win sales opportunities.


The successful Business Development Manager will:-

  • Have a successful sales track record selling into the Aerospace and Defence industry.
  • Demonstrable track record in winning contracts that are or include a supply chain solutions in to Aviation/Aerospace/Defence or sold ILS.
  • Be a hunter, with a strong desire to win and retain new business.
  • Have exceptional interpersonal and customer service levels, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders at various levels.
  • Be entrepreneurial in their approach, a self motivated individual who builds credibility well.
  • Have fantastic negotiation and analytic skills.
  • Preferably have an understanding/knowledge of regulatory restrictions within the Aerospace and Defence industry.
  • Be confident in managing and developing a sales pipeline in line with company objectives.
