Business Development Executive - B2B Start-up

The Role

As a Business Development Executive, you will benefit from inbound leads as well as partnering with the rest of the Business Development team to research prospective customers, create outreach strategies, and identify opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Managing bookings from promoters, from enquiry registration to promotional activity
  • Close new business consistently at or above quota level
  • Follow upon highly qualified opportunities at small and mid-sized companies
  • Engaging with Promoters by telephone and email
  • Managing a large volume of bookings in a fast paced environment
  • Liaising with Retailers on a daily basis
  • Build relationships with prospects and internal stake holders to grow new business
  • Work collaboratively with marketing and technology departments to execute sales strategy as the firm introduces enhancements to existing solutions and/or releases new products

Someone with strong work ethics and always coming up with better ways to do things, who loves to work hard, learn fast, and do whatever it takes to get the job done. We also like to have fun, like people who are passionate at work and in life, whether with family, friends, colleagues and who can teach us something new outside work too.

The Candidate

  • Experience of working in a sales environment
  • Experience in a business development supported or cold-calling sales environment
  • Leading and growing your assigned accounts and running and / or participating in pitches
  • Experience working with small business owners, marketers, and executives
  • Evidence that you are a Top Performer
  • Experience in or knowledge of the retail industry would be advantageous
  • Strong business acumen, street smarts and the enthusiasm to work in the retail industry
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Dynamic and KPI-driven
  • Experience in a start-up environment, if possible
  • Ability to "think outside the box" and suggest changes to processes to improve efficiency
  • Quick to learn, understand, and explain concepts and products
  • IT literate with great attention to detail

Job Offer

A basic Salary of £25,000 - £30,000 plus Commission, Company benefits and excellent career development potential.
