What is the purpose of the role?
In this role you will work for our property searches, within our finance and business services team. You will be working alongside a strong team and report directly to our property searches sales and customer experience manager. The main focus is to contribute to the delivery of the team's sales targets and development of the sales strategy by identifying and bringing on board new business for their 'one stop shop' customers. The position will identify, qualify and build solid relationships with new and existing business prospects (predominantly conveyancers, solicitors etc.) In order to promote our searches one stop ethos you will be fully responsible for following up all qualified opportunities through to customer registration, including providing training on products and systems for clients.

What will this role involve?
Day to day duties and responsibilities may include:
Developing a sales plan that delivers against our agreed monthly and annual sales targets and that delivers our property searches sales goal of capturing an improved market share.
Being responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities whilst building strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers with customer's relevant trade associations and lenders alike.
Building and creating new networks with a view to winning new business.
Being responsible for managing personal sales pipeline and ensuring that pipeline activity is kept up to date.
Conducting regular proposal pitches and presentations to business customers, while providing training and attending relevant events.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual that can demonstrate a good understanding of B2B sales principles and the ability to implement these effectively within our business. You will have a proven ability to identify, target and develop the necessary number of profitable clients to achieve the company monthly and annual sales targets as well as building and managing your sales pipeline and ensuring that all pipeline activity is up to date. Strong presentation skills and the proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint are a must.
Thames Water information and salary details
This role is based in central Reading, Berkshire. We are offering a salary of up to £41,000, depending on skills and experience.
