Area Sales Manager - Global manufacturer is seeking an ambitious, driven, commercially astute Area Sales Manager / sales professional / business developer to sell bespoke and standard packaging solutions across the UK and Eire.
SALARY: Up to £40,000, OTE; Up to £60,000

JOB SPECIFICATION - Area Sales Manager
This is a new business focussed sales roles covering the UK and Eire selling a wide range of standard and bespoke packaging solutions to the home, garden, industry, beauty and personal care industries.
You will build and develop these business relationships through the use of the company’s CRM system and self-generated leads from cold calling / networking etc.
You will be an autonomous sales person, responsible for opening and developing business accounts, whilst managing longer lead times as products often have to go through a testing process.
You will be required to travel extensively across the UK and Eire (including staying away where required) and also take occasional visits to the companies head office in Denmark for meetings / training etc.
REQUIREMENTS: You must have:
* A proven track record of sales success in a field based, business to business role
* Experience of managing sales accounts over longer lead times (12-18 months)
* Excellent new business skills – able to network through new and existing accounts, identify decision makers and develop relationships
* Strong IT literacy and skills on Microsoft packages in particular
You will probably have experience of selling packaging solutions, cartons, flexible packaging, printed packaging material or related products
Ideally, you will also have experience of sales to the following markets / industries: Beauty / Personal Care / Home / Garden / FMCG
The right candidate in this position may well be promoted to a UK Sales Management position as the role develops.
