THE ROLE: Working as an Area Sales Manager, your time will be split between managing existing relationships and winning new business. You will enjoy a broad product portfolio and sell into range of customers, including; builder's merchants, independent DIY stores and wholesalers. Day to day, you will deal with; branch managers, buyers, owners and store managers.
THE PERSON: To succeed in this role, you will need a demonstrable record of accomplishment of selling products into retail / wholesale / merchant's customer base. Product knowledge isn't important, but you will need to understand buying processes in this sector.You will have strong command of figures and proven negotiating skills.
