Account Manager - Homebase
£30,000 to £35000, 40% Bonus, Audi A4, Fuel Card, Premier Inn Card, Pension, Healthcare

My client is one of the UK's leading Kitchen and Bathroom and Bedroom furniture manufacturers, holding an enviable position in the market due to their exceptional product range, service offering and pedigree within the market.Having been market leading for over 60 years now and uniquely still conducting all of their manufacturing within the UK, they are currently undergoing a revision of their approach to market which has resulted in the creation of this exciting new role.
To oversee the Homebase account, achieving my clients business strategy in line with the customers business objectives and expectations, through the creation of long term trusted relationships and exceptional customer experience.
Be the lead point of contact for all customer account management contact and queries, to build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, in store sales assistants, customer stakeholders and internal stakeholders. To ensure the timely and successful delivery of our strategy in line with customer objectives and roadmaps.
Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders and develop, where necessary, new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales and volume targets.
Work with line manager and marketing to create strategies for accounts which are not achieving their sales potential and act to establish sales success.
Input to the forecast and track Key Performance Indicators, prepare reports on account status and collaborate with the sales team and marketing to identify and grow opportunities within territory. Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed and ensure in store displays are optimised and ranges maximised where possible in conjunction with the customer and marketing.
Identifying training needs for customers and work with the category manager/ marketing to embed products further.
Experience and qualifications required:
- Proven experience in Account Management Key Account Management, Sales Account
Management or relevant role within the DIY retail sector - Ideally with Homebase.
- Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all
levels of an organisation.
- Experience with CRM software and MS Office
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
- This role would best suit a graduate calibre candidate, who has worked for a major
retailer, before moving into a B2B Sales/Account Management position.
