Account Manager - Business to Business Energy

My client is a European market leader in the field of Business to Business Energy Services. With a vast array of products and innovative technology solutions, they offer a "one stop shop" for any clients who are looking for cost effective and intelligent energy solutions for their business. Due to rapid growth within their Demand Response team, a new role has been created to help manage and develop the existing client portfolio, as well as develop relationships with new and lapsed customers.
Purpose of the job:
The role of the job is to manage a portfolio of Demand Response Business Energy customers.
It is is responsible for supporting the contract delivery, ensuring that a high level of service is achieved and maintained and that potential earnings are maximised at all times for our customers. To regularly meeting customers and to provide high level account management information and customer service.The role holder will also be the key interface between internal/external IT providers, National grid and installation contractors.
*To manage a portfolio of demand management products to new and existing customers to
ensure earnings are in line with the business plan.
*A key member of the set up and implementation of Demand Response products.
*Achievement of set sales and renewal targets.
*To prospect new customers and maintain a full sales pipeline, providing reporting on
activity and results as required.
*To maintain a good knowledge of all other non-supply and supply products offered by
*Adherence to Sales Limits of Authority and other internal processes and risk
Outcome, Results and Key Performance Indicators:
*Sales targets are achieved and earnings maximised.
*Renewal rates met and projections provided.
*Ongoing management and development of new prospects.
*Provide updates on the competition activity and product development to ensure that
continues to achieve targets.
*To develop successful relationships and contribute to a budget margin and an
aggressive growth target.
Knowledge and skills:
*Knowledge of UK Energy market.
*Knowledge of sales techniques and optimisation.
*Knowledge of the Demand Management would offer a huge advantage.
*Account Management skills, proficient at report writing and presentations.
*Ideally the individual will also have a high degree of computer literacy with
Microsoft Office and be comfortable discussing complex products and commercial
*Industry experience desirable.
*Sales background from a related technical area e.g. energy, energy software.
*Experience of sales techniques and optimisation.
*Proven ability to manage customer relationships.
