Account Manage a designated portfolio, ensuring good relationships and opening up opportunities for expansion for existing business

Client Details

Our client is one of the top Further Education colleges in the country and has recently merged with another successful local college to offer more opportunities to their students. They are playing a key part in defining the development of the region, having invested millions over the last 3 years. They have developed even further with over 4,000 apprentices in work at the moment, working with over 1,500 employers.

Description

  • Be a key contact for employers across own Account Management portfolio.

  • Develop strong relationships with portfolio of existing employers and work closely with them to identify training needs within their organisation, working closely with Faculties to develop programmes that meet the needs of the employers.

  • Advise employers of the range of products and services available and sell appropriately.

  • Proactively promote the range of opportunities available to existing employers.

  • Generate new business from account portfolio to include Apprenticeships, training courses and facilities hire.

  • Strong communication with Business Development Executives, Apprenticeship Co-ordinators and WBL staff to ensure a smooth journey for employers and learners.

  • To work closely with and develop good working relationships with Work Based Learning Managers and wider team to ensure employers receive an excellent service.

  • Write/create and deliver tailored presentations to existing employers.

  • Attend business fairs and college open days to actively promote Apprenticeships.

Profile

Sales experience in a target oriented environment, particular closing skills.

Proven ability to deliver agreed targets, target driven.

Able to meet deadlines - self-starter.

Upselling skills/Cross selling.

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Understanding of Health & Safety and risk assessment in the workplace.

Diplomatic but assertive.

Competent presentation skills.

Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.

Communication & Numeracy skills.

Computer literate

Attention to detail.
