Account Manager

Our client is the world’s largest business to business trade exchange and has been the industry leader for over 25 years. They are a business marketplace with 54,000 cardholders who trade over 500 million pounds annually with 75 offices around the world. They are looking to recruit an experienced Account Manager for the Slough office to support their growing network of members in this area.

Position: Account Manager
Location: Slough, Berkshire 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £22k - £25 OTE in excess of £35k in the first year + other incentives

About the role:

They are looking for a special individual who can provide the highest standard of customer service and can pro-actively secure new business and manage, maintain, and grow existing business.

For each or the local businesses in your portfolio your role as an Account Manager would be to promote their goods / services to increase their sales across the national and internal network of our client’s members, help them to reduce their cash expenses and to improve their cash-flow and profits. Their members see their Account Manager as an essential asset to their own Business.

The nature of this position will mean you will interact and work with business owners from various industries daily via the phone and face to face. It will be your attitude to achieving success that will make a difference to both your income and promotion within the organisation.

About you:

A highly motivated and driven individual with exceptional client relationship skills, who can thrive in a fast paced team environment. Their account Manager come from varied industries and backgrounds however a track record in sales would be of an advantage.

To be successful in this account management role you will need to:

- Have professional communication and interpersonal skills and thrive on building relationships
- A high degree of business acumen
- Organisation and time management skills and the ability to follow-up on customer commitments
- Ability to build rapport and identify business opportunities
- A hunger for sales and growth and the desire to maximise the potential of every customer
- Full UK Driving Licence and a well maintained vehicle
