Business Development Manager - SaaS - Social Media Intelligence Software

Position:  360 Business Development Manager - Europe 

Salary: £25,000 base + double OTE uncapped

  Who we are: We are a new breed of audience intelligence platform that’s re-inventing social media monitoring. We track conversations in 170 languages, across millions of social and news sources, collecting 100% of the data publicly available. Born out of 6+ years of experience with social data, we enable marketers to go beyond keyword tracking to map brand audiences, track how content spreads and measure the reach of social conversations. That means that we don’t just look at what people are saying: we look at who they are to help companies better connect to them. In the last six years we’ve been defining what social media research is and what it can do within research, marketing and beyond.  

We are continually developing our SaaS product offering to give us the smartest technology in the industry – such as audience analytics and algorithmic image recognition, our consultancy use these tools to gain powerful insights and solve our clients’ business problems – in brand, communications, innovation & strategy.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR  

For this role, we are looking for candidates displaying an interest in social media, a basic understanding of marketing, and at least six months experience in sales (ideally in software sales).  

This role will involve talking to future  clients, so this person should be personable, confident and used to speaking with a wide range of people, with a broad spread of interests. 

We are seeking someone who speaks another language, and someone who has experience selling to European countries. As the role will involve targeting new business in Europe, it would also suit a person who has either lived in another European country, either professionally or as part of their studies. 

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

The role of the “360 BDM” sits within the commercial function. The role involves managing the sales cycle from start to finish. This means cold calling potential business prospects, booking and completing demo’s and closing your own deals. You will be expected to book and complete 5 demos per week. 

This role is based in our head office in Shoreditch, London and the role includes opportunities to travel abroad occasionally

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES 

  • 6+ months experience selling a SAAS Product

  • 2:1 degree or above

  • Consistently achieved target over a 6-month period or more 

  • Excellent communicator  

  • Positive attitude
